Hi,
My Husband and I are in desperate need of any advise anyone can give us on our female border collie.

She is now 9 months old and was quite well house trained, up until now!!!
She will NEVER have a pee when given the command i.e first thing in the morning and last thing at night. If she does have a pee we praise her and make alot of fuss of herand give her a treat!!
If we take her out to the park for a long run she won't pee at the park but WILL pee in our car!!!

Anyway we took her to the vets incase she had a problem, he has asked us to get a pee sample but that is not possible!!! as soon as we put something under her she moves away and fefuses to pee again.
After talking to the vet his overall opinion is that she has very bad behaviour problems and that we will be tearing our hair out, which w are doing just that!!!
He sold us a product called D.A.P (Dog Appeasing Pheromone) it is meant to help
1. Destruction
2. Vocalisation
3. House Soiling
4. Excessive Licking.
This product has helped a just a little, now she has decided not to eat her breakfast or dinner unless she has something of ours in it!!! if she doesen't she won't eat it!!

She is STILL peeing in the car not SO much in the house but she stil does and still won't have a pee on command at night-time she has had to go all night long and then still wont go and have a pee in the morning!!!.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!! She is driving us seriously crazy!!!.
do you know of anything we can give her to sort this out!!!! :-(

Hi guest I think you better register because to try and give you advice we are going to need some more details. Is not peeing on command and peeing in the car the only problems you have? Has this been an on going problem or is it something that has just started again? Is she ok in all other ways?
To start off with though I would just go back to basics with house training taking her out first thing, after food and regularly in between times giving her lots of praise when she performs where you want.If she has an accident make sure you clean it up carefully using something like non biological washing powder so as to get rid of any smell that is likely to encourage her to pee in the same place again.
