i have 1 dog & 1 breeding bitch who has had 2 litters of which i kept 2 bitch puppies from her last litter. One of the puppies i am about to put in the show ring.I would like to breed from them both in about 3 years if all is well with them, healthwise. How or whom do i contact to find a suitable stud dog/s for them, do i contact breed clubs or what? i am well aquainted with my breed, i have 7 books on the breed of which none can tell me how to contact a suitable stud dog owner. i also have my own affix. i would like to build my line/kennel. Where do i go from here with these two little bitch puppies. Also, it seems very hard to become a memeber of a breed club, all clubs seem to want a 'proposer' who has to be a member themselves, but i do not know anyone who is a member so how do i get in?help please. See from your post you are about to show one of your pups you will see other type and dogs in your breed when you are at a show look at the dogs that are winning and see if you like the type and if they fit into your breeding .
When you find the dog you like talk to the owner and they will help you out by asking you like the look of there dog and think hes type would help your lines out and sort out stud free and so on.
