Hi all,
Just a question with regard to showing, my dobe (Zac) seems to have a fairly good conformation in regard to the breeds standard but unfortunately his tail was docked on the rather long side, do judges regard this as a fault in the show ring or is this regarded as a man made fault? I believe the breed standard for tail docking is advised as being docked at the 2nd joint down? I see lots of dobe in the show ring whos tails appear much shorter than that, which does not seem to affect there winning potential. When I am in the ring with dobes with much shorter tails it seems to empahsise Zac's against them. I am definatley getting paranoid, all comments welcome and be as honest as you like.

shouldnt affect things, but maybe when you stack him, just shield the end of it so as to make it appear shorter (assuming you top & tail him rather than stand in front!)
