please help, my daughter who is 8 and myself have fallen in love with the tibetan terrier, but the only problem is, is that I work full time and I am of the understanding that this breed of dog does not like being left by itself. I have thought about putting a run in the garden and getting someone to come in at lunch time and take the dog out for a walk for an hour or so. Is there any other tibetan terrier owners that can advise me if this would be acceptable to the dog. Please email me on l19dad@btopenworld.com thanks

I have had Tibetan Terriers for 10 years, I would not think that they are the type of dogs that would accept being left, I know mine would be very vocal, they are full of mischief and can be a bit naughty, they are full of fun and love being in company, they thrive on being with people, I found that if mine were left for any time they became destructive.

Me too and i would second everything you have said also a puppy needs several meals and also the house training if you aren't there then how is the pup expected to learn, these are all things to think of before getting a puppy,
