Apart from a APBT and an Amstaff are there any other dogs (in uk) that are called an American ????? terrier.Saw an ad today in a paper for American terriers(description said nice and stocky with square heads!!)

Well, we are certainly not Terriers, but American Cockers certainly have American in the name.

Just a thought - could they be wishing to sell APB Terriers but don't want to be too obvious about it? Are you in the UK Archer?

I'll answer for Archer and say yes she is in the north west of England. Would have thought APBT myself but I think there is an Am Staff, but that is no doubt a APBT too.

Thanks all for the answers.Yes as Jackie says I'm in North England and I too thought it was a way of advertising APBT but wondered if I was having a mental blokage as to another american breed.
Anyway have phoned the paper and complained and they were very apologetic etc but the advertiser has still managed to advertise illegal puppies!!!

Well their at it again!!After phoning the paper and complaining last time the dogs are advertised AGAIN.What else can I do??I phoned again and had a right go but I don't suppose it will make any difference.
