Has anyone had experience with buying a puppy out of state? How do you go about checking references and making sure everythings on the up & up since you obviously won't be able to go see the pup.
Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - you'll find that most people here are in the UK, so it won't be the same. However, I'm on US whippet lists and often there are notes asking if anyone in the area can go check out a certain home or breeder etc. If you are on any breed lists it may be worth asking people their opinion. Or put the breeder's name into a search engine and see what comes up.
