Does anyone have any experience of oral cancer in dogs? My brother's 4 year old golden retriever has been diagnosed with this in the roof of the mouth, right at the back. They don't know whether to go ahead with what they feel could be useless treatment or to let him go on til he becomes poorly (he seems OK at the moment) and then have him PTS. They are obviously terribly upset and don't know what to do. I advised getting a second opinion but maybe this would be a waste of time. There seems to be very little hope according to their vet. Can anyone help with advice?

hi there ive never had experience of this in dogs but sadly i have with cats,i dont want to alarm you but it really depends on how bad it is,my cats was put to sleep as its growth was rapid, our vet said if they tried to cure it would more than likely return,at the end of the day its your brothers own choice, good luck and all the best .
