Hi my 8 month old rottie bitch was diagnosed with dermertitis today by my vet, i had noticed a small baldish sorish patch on the bridge of her muzzle just between her eyes the other day and thought my other dog had bit her and so i bathed it with warm salt water and it crusted over the next day apparently a bite could have caused this reaction and she was given a corse of antibiotics (synulox) for 7 days, the bill,55pounds and 56pence!is this about right as it seems alot to me as up till now we havnt had any problems with this or other dog so only had vacs, boosters, worming in the past!

Depends where you live, did the vet take a scrape, did they do a full check over or did they just look at the sore and proscribe the AB's. If it was just a look and a prescription then I would pay about £38 here in Lincs. but it would depend where you live and if you are in one of the cities or the southeast I would have thought what you paid to be about right.

Without being there it is difficult to say if we consider it a fair charge or not, the tablets are expensive but next time ask for the bill and you will see how the charge is made up. Hope the dog improves soon and you will then not need a return visit.
