If it's legal not much
if the pups are in poor condition try the RSPCA i doubt they will do much coz they don't normally
otherwise i'm, not sure have you bought a pup of them

Puppy farmers is a wrong word to use has we all breed to sale on it should be PUPPY DEALERS has this is wot they do!!! I dont mind people that breed and sale dogs has long has they are kept and feed in good conditions.
Its the ones that breed and sale to anyone and only think of the money they are making not the breeds they breed. These are the ones which should be stoped.
There are a few ways you can stop one is by not buying from these places or pet shops.
The other is calling the local dog wardon to see if this place has a licance to breed!
And pass the word around
Pet shops should not sale puppys or kittins by stoping the sale of them will slow down the trade it will never stop over night but slowly it can be reduced until one day only good breeders will be there.
Puppy dealers and pet shops dont give you after sales help like a good breeder do .
Had a call today from a couble wanting a small dog in London and not willing to travel out of town to get one and was asking about should they go the the local pet shop.
Hopefully after I explained the problems they could get from buying from a pet shop think they will try the web for a good breeder.

Where is the puppy farm you are referring to? First, check with the local authority in the relevant area to find if it is licensed. Have you visited this place, how many breeds is the proprietor using and what are the conditions? To carry out an illegal raid, you have to alert the breed rescues unless you are yourself a rescue organisation and if damage occurs the owner can then sue you. We are having the same trouble in this area and after three months the RSPCA refuse to allow us to remove the dogs stating that they do not need veterinary treatment.

Hi,

It's not only puppy farms that cause concern.

There are people advertising supposed "new breeds" that fool the general public into thinking they have purchased something special or different. Where in fact they are two certain types of dogs used, and the prices are of what a "pedigree" would be.

You usually see these ads in various magazines, newspapers and on certain internet sites. The only way is for the mag, paper e.t.c. to have a dislaimer stating it's up to the indivduals to ask for Kennel Club papers and to see pedigrees and the parents of the puppies. I know it's more for the pet people but why should they be ripped off buying a "cross breed" and it's giving the genuine breeders of the genuine dogs nightmares as to the temperament of these so called "new breeds" it will take one bad experience and the genuine pedigrees will have a bad "label".

I can name several examples but I am sure it goes on with several types of breed.

As for puppy farms, what is the answer except to educate the general public against these establishments by way of the media and perhaps then they may go out of business.

Jenny.
