This weekend I had visitors and their dog stay with me. My puppy, who is 9 months old, acted crazy all weekend. Stealing food off the counter, then off the table, while I was right there!!! She didn't listen unless I watched her and told her 'no' before she jumped up. If I relaxed, she came right up to the table and started eating whatever was closest. I finally put her in her kennel, where she barked and cried until we were all done eating and I let her out.

I am just wondering what another solutions is. Or, if that is the best thing, if she starts grabbing food, put her in her kennel until the food is gone.

Does she normally eat either at the same time or close to the table when visitors are not there ???
