Hi Everyone, :P
Just wondering what you would charge or expect to be charged for a full day of dog sitting?
Would you charge more if they were being looked after in the house and less if it was in a kennel?
I have a sitter just for two or one day a week and I just wanted to know if the price was fair. I walk her before I drop her off then walk after I pick her up. They don't feed her and only walk her once in the day. Generally she is in the garden or house with the sitter. I checked with a few kennels and there overnight charges range from £12 to £14 and that is feeding and generally two walks a day.I pay £12. Do you think this sounds about right?????????????????
Cheers

Hi Nina
Your sitter does sound too expensive for what your getting - however you have to weight this up with availability of such a facility in your area, your sitter does allow you the opportunity to go off and do whatever it is you do - be it a bit too expensive though.
Hope it helps

Hi NINA
We have local dog sitters for our3 dogs and 2 cats, when we go out they come round about every 4 hours, though I suspect they come more often!!!. A nyway they let the dogs into the garden and feed both dogs and cats. They dont take the dogs out cos I would be too worried, but that is just me... when my father was alive and used to dog sit he wasn't allowed to exercise them either!!!!!. We pay our sitters, who have become friends £10 per day and they seem very happy with that.
By the way I always leave contact numbers plus the vets number.
Hope this helps

Hi there well I charge around £30 a day for looking after kennels but I stayover there so the owner with a lot of dogs can get away.
You did not say how long you was leaving your dog there? But taking the price of Baby sitters its a good deal you have.
