Hi, Can anyone help us. My 14 month old spayed bitch is very nervous, she keeps herself to herself except when within her pack, about 8 dogs that regulary meet at the park. When a new dog arrives she becomes nervous and aggressive, she is fine if the dogs stays away from her, but will snarl then attack if it sniffs or is to bouncy! She is a loving non dominant dog who loves our other dog, a male 4 years old. She also does not like visitors to our house she will hide in the bedroom. Any advice will be helpful I have tried several approaches. Thanks Ziggi

Is she a rescue ?

With visitors don't let her hide away but get they to totally ignore her then she will not see them as a threat to her

If she has a favourite titbit let them put some in the palm of their hand & let her come to them. They should not try to touch her & hopefully she will gradually come round

Thanks Moonmaiden that is great advice as the more people try the more she is scared. No she was not a rescue as such but the family I got her from was not very good, she was already nervous at 8 weeks. What could I do? I couldn,t leave her there. I really need help on the problem with other dogs.
