I DONT WANT TO SHOW MY FEMALE AS SHE DOESNT FIT THE CRITERIA FOR THE BREED. SHE IS VERY SMALL AND I UNDERSTOOD THAT TO SHOW A DOG THEY HAD TO COME UP TO THE STANDARDS REQUIRED BY THE KENNEL CLUB. I REALLY WANTED TO HAVE A LITTER OF PUPPIES THAT WOULD BE WONDERFUL PETS. ANN WHITEHEAD, GLOSSOP. I ASKED THE QUESTION ABOUT CROSSING WITH A POODLE BECAUSE A FRIEND ONCE HAD ONE AND SHE SAID IT WAS A FABULOUS DOG.

If she doesn't fit the criteria for the breed then she shouldnt really be bred from - the point in breeding Ann is to improve the breed in which you are into :) Has your breeder seen her - its important to realise that is she is a good specimin in every other way then the height thing might not be too restrictive - you could always find a stud dog that throws slightly larger pups too :) Talk to your breeder is my advice...
I understand you would like a litter of wonderful pets - but crossing your bitch with another breed is not the best way to do it - you could end up risking your bitch for substandard puppies that inherit the worst of both breeds. There are huge risks - someone on here recently lost their bitch and puppies, even though they had taken all the precautions possible, she was absolutely devastated, as you can imagine - ask yourself, is it really worth the risk?
