Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / BETA Breeder Programme

I was sent details of this programme last year but as we didn't have a litter due at the time put it away and promptly forgot about it(as you do).when our pups were born in DEC I sent away the litter announcement form and what with XMAS and everything promptly forgot about it again.imagine my surprise when a van driver arrived yesterday with 3 huge cardboard boxes containinga 15kg bag of puppy food for the weaning of our pups plus a 3kg bag and a new owners handbook plus I D tag for each pup.We are dont breed our dogs regularly. This is only our third litter in 8 years ,and I had never heard of the programme before and don't know who sent me the details. What I would like to know is how time consuming is all this paper -work and does anyone else use this or any other breeder programme?

I have used it, and found the paperwork a bit of a bind, but well worth it to send pups away with a decent amount of food they are used to, and the back up they get from Beta on thier free careline.

My favourite brand expects you to buy puppy packs, and sell them on! I told them I only sell a puppy, and am not prepared to act as a seller of their food!

I have just had the same 3 boxes delivered, I really wasn't expecting so much. I can't really see any catches.

Hi I am also using this for the first time.I think its great to be able to give my puppy buyers a reasonable amount of food for them to start with even if they do decide to change it later, although I would advise them to do this gradually.Gillian

Gillian what about the stuff I sent for you?.

As you are no doubt aware Pedigree also do the same except they give you a 15kg sack +each puppy gets sent a voucher for a free bag + a bowl +pedigree form+the breeder gets sent £5 for every puppy aswell

Haven't been able to pick it up yet as I dont have my own transport.I travel to shows with my sister-in-law. I am also using your tins so will be on puppies diet sheet aswell .Will intergrate it when I get it and pass on all information to buyers.Your breeder program is very good but have to say Beta responded slightly quicker so had the food when I needed to start weaning. You were out of bowls:D Gillian

Just another thought Gary your biggest advantage in your program is that you support breeders and show people all the time by giving discount to your members all the time not just when they have a litter.Gillian

How do you get in touch with Beta? Have they a website?

I'm with Pedigree now but it takes ages before you get a response......

I tried Eukanuba last year, with dreadful results, never again.

Beta, I have bought their puppy food in the past and found it really good.
I'd be interested in their program as I have a young litter now.
