Its called puppy mad half hours ( although some dont last as long as half an hour and some last longer ) :)
Its perfectly natural and the majority grow out of it .
Please dont worry - shes not a naughty or problematic pup .
I have a Staffordshire Terrier and he used to tear up and down at great speed in the through lounge .
Please dont worry :)

When mine were younger they used to do that and Ollie who has just come out of kennels still does and wants you to chase him up and down the garden and through the house and then calms down and sometimes the others join in,
if she is biting use the word no and ignore her when she stops give her a treat or a toy to chew on

OMG I am sooo glad it gets easier. Montys seems to have lengthened from 8-9 at night to 6-10!!!!

All my spaniels have done this when they were puppies, they totally wreck the garden in the process. Do not panic and think you have a crazy dog, you simply have a happy puppy that is full of life and fun!! As long as you do not encourage the crazy behaviour by joining in and rewarding it, then he will grow out of it, though even a old dog can have a funny five minutes. We have always refered to this game as "circuits and bumps", don't know where that came from??
Enjoy your puppy, make the most of this time, they grow up far too fast.

In my experience its often linked with teething pains - try putting some Bongella on her gums.......

I have an (almost) 6 Month old Miniature Schnauzer pup and he does the same, tho it only lasts about 10 mins, i have found the best way to stop him from damaging anything is to get involved. When i see the 'mad' dash coming i grab a ball or something and try and play...its good for our bonding and saves my carpet/plants :D
Its perfectly normal and even my 8yr old Schnauzer feels the need to just bomb about once in a while, i think its kinda cute! :)

I agree with Rox, get involved! My Cocker does the same (6 months old) and you can use it to your advantage and build on your bond. I think it's just as important for your pup to see you having a mad time too sometimes, especially if you're like me and get right into it, and turn around to see where pup is and they are sitting down all calm and collected looking at you, head tilted, all bemused.....like, "Mum, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!"

Yes , and my nearly 2 year old , seven and a half stone Malamute STILL does the wheel of death routine from the garden , into the living room and back out ...most evenings. (I have it on good authority that his Uncle who must be about 5 now also does it)
:D :D :D
