hi, can anyone tell me if these puppy farms are legal? I recently visited a place and there were litters of puppies from about 6 different breeds all for sale at the one time.Neither parents of any of the breeds were around just the pups.Is it wise to buy a puppy from farms like these. These people were not willing to say where they got the pups or why the mother or father was not with them. Can anyone help?from sharon.

PLEASE,PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM,YOU HAVE NO IDEA IF THE PARENTS WERE BAD TEMPERED HAD GENETIC DEFECTS OR WERE SOME POOR CREATURE SHUT IN A HELL-HOLE PUMPING OUT PUPPIES.IF PEOPLE STOP BUYING FROM THESE PEOPLE THEN THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO CONTINUE THEIR BUSINESS.WALK AWAY AND TELL THEM THAT YOU ARE NOT PLEASED WITH WHAT YOU HAVE SEEN AND LOOK UP A REPUTABLE BREEDER WHO WILL SHARE WITH YOU THE NECESSARY INFO!!!!

a friend at work has just bought a cocker from one of these places - at two weeks old he picked him. He said that there were labradors and other types of dogs there too.. it's so worrying as your gut instinct says they should only be concentrating on one type of dog, but from what he said it was a business rather than a pleasure

Thanks for waking me up, I was reading too much into the message and not reading what was actually written. Late nights, weather hot and tired, my excuse anyway.
