Hi all,
i rescued a kitten a couple of days ago and she is infested with fleas - i rang the vet this morning and hes advised me to use the Frontline Spray instead of the drops on the back of the neck...as i have got to treat 9 dogs and 5 cats, is this spray any good??

Hiya
This spray is virtually the same as the spot on, but it is more for animals that have live fleas on them, as opposed to the preventative spot on type.
You MUST do it in a well ventilated room and it is advisable to wear gloves as it is very strong.
But yes, it is a good thing to use if they have fleas on them.

When i rehomed a kitten she was also found to be infested with fleas, i gave her a liberal spray with frontline spray and you could see them dying straight away. You just have to be careful around their head, i wore disposable gloves and sprayed some into my hands then 'spread' it around her head, this allows more control and avoids the eyes. The spray comes out in a measured dose per pump, and the instructions give you the recommended number of sprays depending on the size of dog and length of coat. It does work out expensive if you have large dogs though!

Hi,
Thanks for the replies , i dont mind the cost...i was told it would work out a bit cheaper than the drops i was quoted £41.50 by my vet and by the other (who treats my pot bellied pig ) i was told £24.50...so theres a bit of a difference in price there.

It comes it 2 sizes, and if the kitten is worried spray it onto your gloved hand and rub the coat the wrong way, I do puppies like that and it works without the risk of them inhailing.
