Hello all
As you probably know I have two bulldogs, but my sister has a labrador puppy. Her neighbour came around to hers last night and asked if she could use Digger to mate with her border collie, of course she said No. I just cannot believe some people, obviously they were just wanting to make a bit of money from the selling of the puppies. It makes me so mad.

Obviously it is just for the money, the thing is though my sisters pup is 6 months old if that and she came around and said my dog is in heat i was wondering if I could borrow Digger to mate with her, my sister politely said no, I don-t think I would have been so polite had I been there.

A couple of years ago, although we have always had CKCS's, we decided to offer a good home to any pup from any of the dogs' homes. (We thought there were so many poor pups in rescue, we could help, by getting a cross/mongrel, rather than always having pedigree Cavaliers.)
But we couldn't find any! The homes told us that, contrary to the pics on TV and the media, there are very few litters of "unwanted puppies"..rather, people breed their pet dogs on purpose, and sell them in free ads like Trade It, purely for the money.
Well, we certainly wouldn't buy a puppy from such a source, and therefore encourage these idiots to breed their dogs. So, we kept to cavaliers, (from caring breeders, of course!)
Sad, though, isn't it.
