Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / New subject of question...

Hi, I have a general question that I am just recently concerned about. See, I have just bred my female dog, the one that was screaming, and bred her again today. She gladly excepted the male, which was a surprise to me since its been a few days.

Anyways, after being tied both times and seperating, my girl let out this clear, gooey liquid stuff. I didn't know what to really think the first time because I didn't actually see it happen, the owner of the male dog saw it. But today, I saw it for myself. Just as the male dog seperated the tie, my female just let it all out. Was this liquid the goods from the male or was it just lubrication of some sort? Is it even normal? There wasn't a lot, but yet there was enough to have to hose down the breeding room floor. I am prepared to take my girl to the vet as soon as possible if you all think there is reason to be alarmed. Please give me an answer as soon as possible so I don't worry myself to death.

Quite normal. Nothing to worry about it.

Im deff no expert, but thats completely normal. I mean not to be crude, but when two people have "relations", all of the sperm etc doesnt stay perfectly inside. Now try doing it standing up like a dog and see what will stay in LOL. Sorry I couldnt think of a cleaner way to put it.
I will wait for the experts answers, but Im sure there is no problem with that, esp if its right after the mating.
Ive heard from many a breed that after the mating the female should be crated and keep still for a good few hours.

Hi
After a mating a lot of people hold the bitch up (sort of uposide down) on the principal that everything will run down inside her, rather than leaking out. Never felt the need to do thuis myself, but it doesnt do any harm - of course, it depends on the breed - much easier to do with a yorkie than a Dane:)

Naaa its normal. This happened with my bitch just made sure I had them on an old piece of carpet or outside during the mating. Since it is pretty messy eeeewwww :D I have heard of the upside down thing but never really seen the point if they catch they catch if not wasn't ment to be and would check into it then :)

Good luck and hope you will have lil baby puppies soon :)

ttfn :)
