Just looking for a car on exchange and mart website and had a quick browse at the pet section and there is 2 DDB older bitches for sale in there and it says that one has just been mated!! Dont want to appear thick or anything but do you think that that means literally just been mated or recently had a litter? Why would anyone want to go to all the effort and expense of arranging the mating if they are just going to go on and sell her....!!! To think that the poor bitch is going to go through all the upheavel of changing houses etc when she is going through that!

but surely its not right docking x bred pups
i dont agree with tail docking on pedigrees and think its pointless and even more so with x bred pups

There is an advert appears most weeks in our local "free ad" paper - "Cavaliers wanted, any age, any problem, will collect." I am not sure if it is a contact number for Cavalier rescue or something more sinister?
I guess that if it were a puppy farmer, they would be looking for young dogs?

I know that there are some shrewed people about, but i have never seen a bitch advertised that is in whelp, thats what I cant get my head around. I can almost understand older dogs being advertised, as circumstances can sometimes dictate that some owners have to part with animals (although i hope that if ever i was in that situation then i could rely upon family/friends until my situation was more stable) but these people are obviously clearing out unwanted/unusable/non-profit making stock. I am half tempted to call to find out more details, although part of me just wants to put on my blinkers, as probably the more i found out the more i would probably feel distressed at the situation. They are advertising 2 older bitches and one older male, so almost definately run some sort of kennels. Maybe some other breed got to her and they dont want to deal with the consequences....Just a wild guess!
