Hi Marley, take pup off Pedigree food it is far to rich for most dogs if you must use tined then use Chappie or Naturediet mix some bran it to it for a few days and it will soon be gone i mean loose bran you get from pet stores also give live plain yogurt mixed with bran this is all i ever use and have just done so on one of my 6month old pups very very runny but 2 days on this and all is well and (hard) jackie ps if it doesnt clear in a 3 days take to vet.

hi jackie,
thanks for replying, the breeder said not to change her food, she always feed's her cavaliers on it..
our other dog has to have nutrifyba which i buy from the vet's that's a very fine bran.
it's our 2 nd week with her and the breeder had fed her on this before we had her, so why would it start now ?if she has been eating it for about 4 weeks( i think) would'nt it of started earlier??
the breeders words were '' WHAT EVER YOU DO , DONT CHANGE HER FOOD UNTILL SHE IS ABOUT 12 WEEKS,''
my partner will probably tell me not to change it too, when he comes home !!!!
do you think i should still change it ? or leave it as it is and put some nutrifyba on it..
many thanks

It's very common for puppies to get the runs when they go to new homes. It's very stressful for them, and often the change of drinking water takes getting used to. Many dogs are 'loose' in this hot weather, too. That said, I've found Pedigree foods to be too rich for my dogs, too.

Hi
Have you tried feeding her on mash potato and boiled chicken. i feed it to my border collie when he was a pup and had the runs it cleared it up really quickly. thats just plain mash no butter or milk

Hi
Try boiling his water first, and then leaving to cool, when i bought my puppy home he had the run`s after a week or so, i didnt change his food ,thought i would try the water first, and yes it stopped the following day, give it ago.

Is your pup better now? I had alot of problems with one of my cavaliers when i first brought her home. It took me 4 weeks to get her "poo" to be normal after many trips to the vets, antibiotics and sleepless nights. It turns out that she had a food intolerance, I have put her onto Iams puppy food and she now finally fit and well and has solid poos. I hope your pup is ok now.

Hi ,
i have sent you an e-mail..
my pup was fine after a couple of day's, i put a bit of nutrifyba on her food as my oldest cav has to have it on his food to prevent colitis, he can't have anything rich.
thank's !
