Hello.
'Roscco' (Lurcher 13 months old) has been sick about 10 times over the last 7 - 10 days, before this he has only been sick a couple of times since we had him. The vomit just looks like water, could this be related to the recent heat or is it worth us visiting the Vet? He has fresh water regular duing the day and is eating ok, gets plenty of excersize etc. Could be totaly normal, but prefer to check up. Thanks in advance :-)

It sounds to me as if he is running around to much in this heat and drinking alot and bringing it back up you really must stop him from doing what he normaly does because this heat isnt normal for them so please be careful, but i AM NOT A VET so it is up to you to do what you feel is correct, best of luck.

Is the water extreamly cold? My girl always tends to bring back up water if it has been chilled in the fridge. It sets off her stomach. (I was giving her bottled water straight from the fridge.) I find she does better when the water isn't cold. The heat can have something to do with it as well, though I live here in Nevada where it is hot, as long as the animal has shade and water to cool off with , I have had no problems. Granted, she is inside the house most the time :)

Becareful and make sure he isnt getting dehydrated. If he is then you need to make sure that he is rehydrated, I know in the USA they give pedeolyte (sp?), which is a liquid you give to babies when sick so they dont get dehydrated.
But like everyone already said, its prob just drinking water too fast cause he is so hot.
I would just watch and make sure he isnt acting weird, or lathargic..
