Hi, I have a small dog that is 2 year old.Recently she has developed small little lumps on her body, there are a total of 4,they are hard and slightly moveable. The vet wants to remove them to biopsy them, but we are waiting a couple weeks to see if they change.I am so worried this may be cancer, she is such a sweetie and other than the lumps she has no problems,a few months ago she delivered a pup but the vet says it is not related.Has anyone out there had a similar situation?I am hoping it is a hormonal thing, she has also been fixed since delivering. Thanks so much to anyone who can help,I am worried sick.

Your best bet is to have the Vet check it out and do the biopsy. That will ease your anxiety, as well as confirm that the lumps are benign or cancerous. My opinion is however, that these are not anything to be concerned over, but anything unusual on your family member should be looked at by a qualified person who can properly diagnose. Some breeds are suseptable to lumps (ie: Cocker Spaniels, Poodles), though usually when they reach an older age.
