We have had a crop of fleas hatch out since this hot weather started. We thought we had got rid of them by spraying anything that would stand still long enough but it obviously hasn't worked. The animals are treated, but the furnishings arn't (yet). Has anyong got any recomendations for carpet/soft furnishings treatments that REALY work?
Thanks, Lynn

A Dyson vacuum cleaner!!! At the same time, drop a cat flea collar into the "Cyclone" bit - that will deal with any you hoover up.
Don't know whether you can still buy Acclaim or not (haven't had the problem since we did away with carpets) - but if you get that, you have to vacuum first, then use the Acclaim - and then not vacuum again for 7 days!!! This means that it stays in the carpet long enough to soften the eggs that are still there & incubating, which means that they won't hatch out. Remember - for every one flea that you can see - there are 100 lurking :O!
Margot (starting to feel very itchy!)
I've a large can of Staykil always at hand. The dogs and cat have found a great place for fleas and keep bringing them home. Make sure the animals are out of the way when you spray!! Bought it from the vet when I got their flea treatment. Can't remember how much it cost though.

What a great scene in my minds eye, horrible nasty litle fleas getting there come uppance in a cyclone.
