I'm curious. Do you know what breeds they have crossed to create them? Do they breed true?
- By lel [gb] Date 10.08.03 17:29 UTC
YesI have seen them also . If you do a search on Google orthe like you should be able to bring up a picture .
If I remember rightly they have more leg than the traditional bulldog and I think they originated as they were hoping to breed healthier dogs - as in trying to reduce breathing problems???

im a breeder of sussex bulldogs and can tell you that mr brown in sussex england is the breed creator and founder he has spent his whole adult life of 22years creating a new type of bulldog this is not a recreation or crossbreed of any disciption and has no connection with victorian or any other hybrid bulldog type ,
it true to type and has done so for the last 15 years this was being done by mr brown long before the recent breeds were aquired and crossed to make a lot of current bulldog types ,
in my own kennels i have had many sussex bulldogs over more than 10 years i am now on a 13th generation bitch i find them to be of fantastic character ,temperment and best of all an amazing looking creature ,
we went to a victorian bulldog show in 04/04 we won best in show ,best adult bitch
,best adult male ,best junior male , if ive missed any i do apoligise so the answer to the ladies question is they are well establioshed they have clubs in england  and sweden where they are growing in greet numbers .
thanks j robson
