Hi everyone. Just had a e mail letting me know that a man was arrested at Stranraer last night, he was
driving an Isuzu Trooper with 3 greyhounds in the back and towing a trailer with 61, yes 61 puppies inside with NO FOOD OR WATER, poor wee things in this hot weather. A vet is still checking over these puppies. Reports are sketchy just now but at least one of the people Wag have been campaigning against owns such a vehicle. Please, those of you who live in Scotland, get in touch with wag at www.mediacave.co.uk/wag they are desperate for donations of dog food to send to the SSPCA who are finding it hard to feed the 49 puppies+ these 61 now as well, SSPCA is not government funded, depends on donations from the public. Wag will let you know where the nearest collection point is, anyone in the Kilmarnock area there is a box in Quick Save for donations of food etc. Thanks - Irene Westyholm Westies

Can't the puppies be distributed to their relevant breed rescues to assist?

Hi that would not be possible if there is a court case likely to be pending, afterwards it would be a diferent matter.

The man concerned has been arrested as was the other one a couple of weeks ago, (49 pups)he has already appeared at court, dont know the outcome of that yet, but as their will be a trial the pups have to go to the SSPCA first, until the court cases have been dealt with. I dont have any more information at the moment will keep you all up to date.

These unscrupulous dealers HAVE to travel through IRISH FERRIES or STENA SEALINK from Dublin to Holyhead. IRISH FERRIES from Rosslare to Pembroke. STENA SEALINK from Rosslare to Fishguard. Maybe it is time to hold regular demonstrations at these ports.I will be the first in the queue.Anyone care to join me?

the silly thing about this is those pups will have to stay in kennels till after the court case unless the man agrees to sign them over .

Whats the address for donations?

Hi Mattie, If you get in touch with www.mediacave.co.uk/wag they will be able to tell you more about it. Thanks everyone for your concern, any suggestions any of you can think of to stop this, get in touch with Ken at mediacave.

Can we not organise an e-mail campaign to these companies? Surely there are enough of us here in the dog world that don't approve of what is going on to make some sort of difference?
