Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / food for coat growth
- By guest [gb] Date 08.08.03 15:48 UTC
Can anyone please recommend a food or supplement that encourages coat
growth?
My 14 month old cavalier bitch sheds profusely and so far only has feathering
on her legs and tail. The rest of her coat is the same as a jack russell.
I know that cavalier coats can take up to 18 months to develop fully but hers is a long way off!
She is fed at present Arden Grange complete and her coat is in very good condition, just not much of it. She is a very lively, active little dog but would look
much better with some long silky fur.

Thanks alot DebbieC

I swear by the supplement 'Fit & Fertile', it worked for my American Cocker last year. It's available online from www.totalbreedingsolutions.co.uk

Hi Debbie,

I agree with Dawn, fit n fertile has had some amazing results. A lot of people also swear by a supplement called "Restore". We always give our bunch oil capsules containing wheatgerm, evening primrose, cod liver oil and garlic.
(not all in the same capsule of course!) which can help coat growth. Has had she a season - it can take quite a while for tummy coat to come back in after one.
bye
Gwen
