Hi,
We have a ten week old puppy who we have had for about 3 weeks now and she is confined to the kitchen. (by child gates not closed doors). The thing is when we brought her home we had the expected crying at night and this went on for about 4 nights and we always ignored it, "thank god we have good neighbours". The crying stopped on the fourth night but for some reason she has began crying again on and off for the past 2 nights. She has plenty of interaction during the day although is not allowed in the rest of the house, we go in to her and in the garden. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx Deb

I don't know where you are in the country but it could be the heat keeping her (and all of us lol) awake so she is a bit unsettled.

My puppy did this stopped crying then started again about three weeks later. After a few nights of crying at around 4am every morning I finaly went downstairs, checked he was O.K. and let him out for a wee. Then he started doing it in the day everytime he wanted to go out, I let him out everytime he cryed at the back door. I never had any mess in the house again.

But yes it could be the heat.

Tracie, was your puppy housetrained when she started doing this? Cassie shows no signs of wanting to go outside to do her business but it's certainly worth a try.

Thank You.

Could be, and also I think the kids have been unsettled due to the heat so maybe she heard them moving around..

Thanks Jesse

Monty cried for the first 4 days or so and now only cries for a couple of mins (he's 13 weeks tomorrow)
The thing i notice is that if we move around upstairs or anywhere where he can hear us, then he starts crying. So i agree its probally her hearing people moving around

Thanx Sam I think this is most probably the cause.
