The training club that I attend with my pup is 25 years old this year. To mark the occasion, they have chosen to raise funds for a hearing dog for a deaf person. One fundraising idea is to sell a booklet of doggie treat recipes (training treats, biscuits, stuffed kong recipes, etc.). I am therefore asking if anyone has a favourite treat recipe that they wouldn't mind me putting into the booklet?

Many thanks!

Not really a treat, but for any raw feeders, I like to stuff the AMP blocks of mince into kongs with a rawhide chew sticking out and then freeze it. Takes the dogs forever to munch through it.
For actual training, I've just tried the Asda Smart price hot dog sausages, easily cut into small bits, and the dogs adore them. Again though, not a recipe, sorry!
There's always liver cake, but you've probably already got that one down! I sometimes chop up liver and put it on a baking tray covered with greaseproof paper before putting it in the oven on a low temperature for as long as it takes to dry out. It isn't as palateable as liver cake, but it lasts longer cos it's dried.

Hello,
I have a few tried and tested dog treat recipes and Kong filler ideas on my Chihuahua website. All of the ideas have been given the paws up by my own and friends dogs :)
As I am aware I am unable to give the URL here, please feel free to check out my profile to retrieve details.
Good luck with your fundraising idea, it's a good one :)

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've got a few website details, but I was hoping more for the recipes that you had all made up and found that your dogs adored. I want your 'tried and tested' recipes.
What do you put in kongs to keep them amused?
What training treat will your dog do anything for (even if it's just hotdog sausage or something)?

Thanks,

Sarah

Mine likes his kong stuffed with cream cheese, pate and mashed potatoe...

...is it just me, or does that sound rude! :o
