I have a five month old puppy who has been lame on/off for 1 week, she is very lame when she gets up from sleeping but it eases off as she walks about. I have taken her to the vets and they cant find the cause, and will xray next week if no better. I think the problem is she has had a sudden growth spurt and this mixed with jumping over a 3ft fence on to concrete as often as she can ( finally managed to stop that) but still leaps stair gates, this has cause alot of strain on her legs. Has anyone else come across this? i feed her hills puppy and have started her today on Rhus Tox to see if this has any effect.

Ask your vet if they think it may be panosteitis. What breed is your dog, it could be that your could do with feeding a lower protien or may be a junior food.
