Can anyone offer me advice with regard to purchasing a dog harness. I have two dogs, a shih tzu and a cross breed who is similar in size to a jack russell. I want a harness which is light weight and suitable for wearing on their walks, including when they are off the leads (by this I mean I don't want a harness with a long lead adaptor which dangles down and iritates the dog when it is off the lead). I intend to purchase a car seat adaptor so it is easy to use the same harness in and out of the car. The only ones I have at the moment are too big and bulky for their small frames and although they serve a purpose in the car they are not good for using on walks. I purchased size 2 canac harnesses which were to big on the chest strap, so I swapped them for the size 1 but they were too small. I've searched the internet but it's a bit of a minefield and would rather go on a recommendation if possible. Can anyone help????

I bought some lovely ones from Pet Planet...online pet shop...think they were Rosewood make. They've got padding on. I have small cavalier king charles spaniels, and the smallest size fits them.

Thanks, I've just checked out both websites. Wilkinson don't have any on their site at the moment but I found the padded ones on pet planet which look great! Cheers :)

i bought mine from wilkinsons,they are like a figure eight,loop over the neck then clip under the front legs,with a ring where they cross to attach a leash.they were about £6 in a choice of sizes and colours
