As this is a first time for my dog I would also like information on as many details as possible.

Contact the breed club secretary, I believe that to be a Mrs McGrann 01526 860087 or better still your bitches breeder who would be able to help you decide what lines the prospective stud should have. You have left things rather late IMO by the time you have done your research your bitch will be 5 years, too old for a first litter really.
