Hi all,
My very kind mate who has a car has offered to take me and till out for a drive tomorrow. We're gonna take a picnic and lashings of ginger beer (!)
the two of us went to the squirrel sanctuary at formby last year and it was great for dogs, lots of woods and sandy beach to run around in. That's the favourite destination but knowing us we may just end up sticking a pin in the map. Has anyone got any good suggestions? Preferably places not likely to be crowded with kids so we can chill. And fairly close, anywhere in the northwest would b ok i think. We are in bolton

There are some pretty nice nature trails on the Wirral such as Thurstaston etc . You would need a map as I am hopeless at directions ;)

Beacon Fell near Longridge is lovely, and has picnic benches etc.
