Recently lost our Golden Retriever and would now like another one but would prefer an older dog rather than a puppy. Anyone know where we would get one?

there is a forum you can use where you can say what kind of dog you want to rescue!!

I am sure there is also a dedicated breed rescue for goldens

Someone more knowledgeable will probably have a web address or you could just try a search on the net

There is a page on the net with local rescues in all areas, can't remember what address it was i think i just typed in golden retriever rescues on google, there is also a guy on here called mattie who is with labrador rescue, he was going to send me tel no of my local goldie rescue but he must have forgotten, you could try sending him an email.

i think you'll find mattie is a woman :)

I did email you but maybe i got the wrong address so i have emailed you again, hopefully you will recieve it this time. We have heard from the breeder we contacted that is where my priorities lie now, however if something goes i would still like the number.
