hi everyone,i was thinking about going down to the munster circuit and taking my 14 week old akita-inu down to it (she will be 16 weeks old then) but i have been told that pups are not allowed to go to shows.i dont mean that i want to show her i just wanted to take her,is this true?

It is not allowed in the UK but I don't know about Eire. It is good to give the dog the experiance but you are risking infection. Someone who knows the situation on the circuit will let you know, do belive you can take the car upto the rings so may be it would not be a problem anyway.

Generally no dogs are allowed unless entered in the show (if not showing they still have to be entered 'not for competition'). In order to enter they must be six months old.

Hi Wendy, is that the rule in Eire too, as I know they have cars on the show site, do you have to leave the pup at the entrance.

I don't know if it's the rule in Eire, but it is in Canada and the States in addition to the UK, so I'd think probably so.

I'd check but when I went there a couple of years ago there was no stopping and checking of the dogs at all. I was totally shocked but there again their Champ. shows are mnore like our open shows but outside.
