Useful, but not as useful as personal recommendation. I chose my first vet by location but didn't like them so asked around at my local dog club. Well over half the members used the same vet, some travelling 10 or more miles and passing other vets to reach the one they recommended. I changed to him and wouldn't dream of ever swapping from him.

Totally agree Joan :-) unfortunately, not everyone has access to personal recommendations for all manner of reasons. At least with this link, you can find out what surgeries are available locally. I travel some distance to my vet to. Took me years to find just what I was looking for and that was after going through a few highly recommended vets. We all want and expect different things from our vets don't we :-)

Is there something similar for eye testing or is it one of those things I will have to look out for in the dog press as Tyler will be needing his eyes tested soon.

Kerioak site. There is a list of eye panelists included there. I will have a dig around and see if there are any others. :-)

i very good eye vet is jeff yellowley a friend ,this is his feild,he has verterinary centre in west byfleet surrey,if you want the number i will send it.he has flatcoated retrievers has his pets dogs.
