My problem is with my Westie bitch.
She barks when let out into the garden (she only started this after her first season which was about a year ago, but goes through spells of being worse).
When we try to call her in or tell her to stop she turns her back on us and keeps barking. Any noise will set her off and sometimes its quiet and she starts! I think shes being protective of her 'patch'. She is a lovely natured, friendly little dog and loves people. She barks at our naibours, but when the come over to the fence she stops, wags her tail and rolls over to be tickled!
My mum is getting really sick of it and has even threatened to get rid of her, which she would never do as she loves her, but you can see how sick we are getting.
I've heard of a collar you can get which blows out scent, but at £75 it is way to expensive. Can anyone give me any advise or will we have to get a trainer to come and see her?
Thanks

I had this problem with one of my Heelers (Water Pistol) is what you want. Try not to let her see were the water comes from and when she
starts for no good reason squirt her. you must keep it up for a good few
days. It really worked for me Now when my dog is going to burst into song i can almost read his body language he starts looking round for the gust of water.Obviously if there is a reason to bark he still lets rip
Hope this works.
