I'm one proud Mum!!! We did Houndshow today and my 9 year old daughter did her first JH class at a champ show and was placed VHC.
I've always been reluctant to let her in the breed ring at champ shows because she has severe hearing loss, but I relented today on the spare of the moment and let her show my 2 year old Elkie in his breed class and he got 2nd.Had many comments from experienced Elkie show-people who complimented her on her 'performance'-must admit she was so calm and collected. After being told she does a better job of handling him than me(seriously) I've handed over the reins so to speak and he now has a new handler-permanently!!!

Hey, Congratulations to your daughter.

If she ever fancies swopping breeds I have a Stafford pup she could have a go with.

Hey anytime we're at the same show she's more than welcome. I'd be willing to let anyone that had that kind of enthuisam have a chance at a different breed. If you don't get given the chance how do you get experience?

I'm not surprised, you must be bursting with pride :)
What a star she is, hearty congratulations to your little girl.
She must be thrilled that you entrust her to handle for you,
it will give her oodles of confidence!!
Hope she enjoys handling for many years to come.

Kindest Regards
Boxacrazy :) and the Boxers too.

Didn't know it was her first time, only saw her in the breed class and though she was doing very well. Hope she goes from strengh to strengh and we see a lot more of her, but not in front of me ;)
