We have just moved into a mid terraced house and our Dobermann Albert is having trouble settling down, he barks at the slightest sound and does not appear very happy at all...

Has anyone had any similar experiences or helpful hints to settle him in?

Make sure the routine is the same. I'm sure if you have just moved in things must be a little choatic so try and keep mealtimes and walks the same. Some Bach rescue remedy helps a dog that is stressed and DAP (Dog appeasing Pheromone) diffusers can also help i believe. They are like plug in air fresheners but do not emit a smell that humans can smell.Instead it gives off a scent that calms a dog as it mimic the smell of the mother. ( or something to that effect.) As long as he is provided with his old bed and his familiar possessions i am sure he will eventually settle in.
