We have had our two younger girls on JWB now for a while and the last few sacks have been the lamb or turkey.

We have got this time the duck which they love as much as the other varieties but they seem to be a bit hyperactive.

I am not sure whether this is down to the fact MB maybe showing signs of coming into season for the first time, no swelling but is licking herself a bit more and she is a bit more grumpy and feisty resulting in her and Moose scrapping alot more than they normally do !

They have also in the last week chewed through three collars and a few of their toys have had to be thrown away due to being destroyed by them both playing tug of war with them !!

We are going to see how they get on but was wondering if anybody else had seen any difference if they have fed the Duck variety or it is indeed the hormones ? :D

Thanks

funny you mention that bradley has just finished a bag of the above and he seems to be hyper. i though maybe its his age 13wks but he just runs in circles and up and down the stairs between 7 30 and 8 30. we now walk him at 8 but he just comes home and goes mental.
i might eat a bag for myself if it gives off that much energy...

Emma

Is it the puppy food he has been on and the duck variety ? ? At 13 weeks he is more than likely just having puppy moments !! :)

he's so funny when he has his made half hour. your probably right lucy. Mind you his coat is so glossy now weve changed from pedigree poo to well beloved and his development is excellent. i will not change his food.
we get a free bag at puppy party every other week and a plastic bowl which we put in the boot of the car, so he can have a drink after a walk
(or stripping down the boot of my new car)

hi
my puppy is 14 weeks and she also has a mad hour in the evening ,runs round and round the sofa barking like a puppy pocessed ,then suddenly lies down and goes to sleep and thats it for the rest of the night ,i think its puppy letting off steam ,she is fed on JBW but is'nt hyper at all in the day so i don't think its the food.

As a puppy my dog was on lamb puppy performance, he has recently changed to turkey junior performance. I haven't really noticed a difference in hyper activity but I do think he prefered the lamb. I have got a big bag of turkey so it will be a while before he gets onto the lamb again. Which flavour does your dog prefer?

Hi there I reared my last litter of Schnauzers on the Turkey and was pleased with it on my Toy Terriers I used the new Duck and was ok on it but now have another litter of Schnauzer gone back to the Turkey has with the adults.
Found with the Lamb made them have the runs and darken there stools so its Turkey for me and they have a great breeders servis too.

Well we have our answer ! MB is officially in season !! That explains the behaviour !!

She is now a 'I want lots of love and cuddles girl' !! :D I think the JWB duck was a red herring !! Or a red duck ! :D
