I am thinking of rehoming another dog and have approached a few rescue centres
One was further away and said they wouldnt be able to homecheck and so needed 3 references
I have thought of our vet and our professional dog sitter but who on else could you use?????
Any ideas?

Breeder of your current dog?
Does it have to be animal related or can it be someone in good authority but not necessarily to do with dogs/animals?
good luck with it. What sort of dog?

Yeah could use our breeder I suppose but I havent actually spoken to them since I took her
I have had all the advice I need from this site
I ahve sent them a couple of photos but thats all
I do homecheck for Labrador rescue but they've never met me, it's all been contact over the phone.
So i wasnt sure whether it was fair to ask them
Not any particular dog, was just a general rescue centre I contacted to see if they consider rehoming to people who work.
I've had a lot of trouble finding centres who will!!
Do you go dog training? Is there a respected trainer who you could ask?

Maybe I'll ask them!

Maybe if you have a couple of "dog owner" references from your vet and your dog trainer to say you are a good owner, maybe a character reference from a professional friend who knows you much better would balance the other two? If they are not doing home checks then you could send them pics of where the dog will walk/your garden/ your current dogs bed so they can picture it all!!
