hi my 6 month old jrt has just got 6 little pusy filled spots anyone got any ideas what they might be?,he seems is normally self running around and playing like a nutter,so cant be anything to bad,ive never came across this ever before.

It might be the food if it has a lot of additives and colour enhancers. What are you feeding him on?
Sandra
merlin is fed science plan as are my other dogs

That shouldn't be too high in additives. Might be worth trying him on a more bland natural diet for a while, mince and plain dog biscuit may help. Sometimes there can be a build up of concentrates in the quality food and there is only one way out through the skin. Try bathing them in some cooled boiled salt water.

Have those spots disappeared? I have begun to feed my cavalier on Science plan, and he has developed spots, some filled with puss.

My friends dog gets these allergy spots and cannot be fed anything but minced lamb and rice which has been cooked at home especially for her. Before they discovered this the vet tried Science diet and it had no effect, after trying various other diets and this included plain mixer biscuit and meat, it was finally found that the only two foods she can safely eat is the lamb and rice mix.
his spots have all cleared up now, they went about 5/7 days after they appeared he was on science plan and has now changed to royal canin and is doing very well.
