does anyone know of any decent training classes in the staffs region.
i live near lichfield,have looked at a few but dont seem very good ie letting pups off the lead with other pups which usually ends up in fights,any personal recomendations off anyone

i find that most training classes are "rip offs". train him yourself.

Have you tried asking your vet? Mine supplied a list of local training clubs and recommended one in particular where the receptionist and one of the vets goes.

Have you tried the Lichfield ringcraft on a Monday night at the Rugby Club ??
Even though you may not want to do ringcraft it might be worth coming along and letting other people go over the dog (as a vet would) mixing with other dogs and learn to walk on a lead.

well how about that!!!!isnt it a small world.
was so chuffed monday she came 2nd in puppy under 6 months,there was about 15 in line up,i know it doesnt really mean anything but being a novice it chuffed me too bits,she is really starting to come on the last 2 weeks.
Besides that it makes a change instead of the little prim and proper petite dogs winning.BIG IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

I couldnt make it yesterday I was shattered I spent Saturday watching the
bulldogs at Leeds then was at a bulldog puppy thing on Sunday then all day at Leeds with Hades on Monday all I wanted to do was sleep zzzzzzzzzzzzz :-)

i put a message in about tripe as zena is a very finnicky eater,i tried her with it a few days back and she loves it i was just wondering how to incorperate it into her diet so she is eating more and actually having proper mealtimes,will talk to you about it on monday if thats ok.
Just to make sure, you are the lady who sometimes checks the dogs over, as there is another lady and man with rotties or are you together?!?doesnt take alot to confuse me!!

They are held on a Monday night at a nursery near a pub right by a statue
(vague I know but it might help you locate it :-) )
I dont know the name of it but can find out for you.

that would be brilliant if you could please - i got a list of local ones through and the nearest is Codsall in W'hampton....so Sandon would be a better bet for me :)

Edit - the only pub I know in Sandon is the Seven Stars?

Ooooh Lucy - gossip update for you then!! Reynolds bar has been closed since Xmas last year - too much trouble - Paul Reynolds has sold it as a going concern and they can't get a license... the police counteracted it with a 12 page dossier on how much trouble there is there on an average Saturday night.

I used to know Paul reasonably well as he lived in Weston next to Weston Hall.

I think it may have been Marcus. Which ever one it was they were good ! They were expert witnesses for me in court case re Mars and her litter. It is a very long story and won't go into it here !!

The Pub by the way is not the Seven stars for the training course. It is the Dog and Doublet ! It is just as the dual carriage way ends as you come into Sandon on the left hand side from Weston. I have been drunk in there as well !! As I have most of the Pubs in that sort of area !! Oh when I was young free and single !! I wouldn't swap what I have now though for anything !! :D
