Hi Dizzy

I joined Friends Reunited last November, ang got in touch with a girl I was good friends with at school (20+ years ago), we exchanged phone numbers, and she came to stay for the weekend in February, and I'm going to visit her in two weeks time. There's no-way we could have got in touch without the site!!

I thinks it's great :D

liberty

Edited to add, I left school at a VERY young age ;)

We joined a couple of years ago, Steve made contact with his best friend at school in Wiltshire, to find he now lives 5 mins from us in Surrey, They both love golf so meet up regularly to play!

I joined a couple of years ago and have been in touch with several old friends , the most notable of which is my BEst Friend from when I lived in Singapore over 30 years ago. We still get on like a house on fire and email or phone every week. We went down to Oxford last Christmas to meet up as well

:)

MMmmm. I joined some time ago. I had an email starting "Hello my old country dancing partner!" We've had lunch and swapped old pictures. Fascinating.
- By Malakai [gb] Date 25.07.03 07:40 UTC
I'm coming up for my third year as a member. I've got about 15 people that I catch up with about every three months, about 5 that I "speak" to each week and I've been to a couple of reunions :) I think the site's great! I've signed up for genes reconnected too :)
- By Lily Munster [gb] Date 25.07.03 08:14 UTC
I joined a while ago but only paid my fiver last week so I could email people's names that I recognised, so far I've had 3 emails in reply, I love to read what people are gtiing up to now...some have been real eye openers!
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 25.07.03 09:26 UTC
I joined it about 18 months ago - and am now back in contact with some lovely people (one famous!!!) - it's extraordinary what some people do with their lives.
:)

I know 2 women (one an old schoolfriend I 'reunited' with) who are in the throes of losing their husbands to his old flame. So there is a downside.

(One g*t even has the gall to expect his wife to move out of the marital home, and leave the dog & kids!  )
- By Carla Date 25.07.03 14:28 UTC
there was a classic post someone put up about being left by their husband for his old flame, who they met on Friends Reunited, did anyone see it? very bitter and twisted but a total work of art :D
- By LJS Date 25.07.03 12:38 UTC
JG Bit confused. I don't know of any famous 21 year old female news readers :D :)

- By bob [gb] Date 25.07.03 21:37 UTC
Hadn't had chance to have a look yet, I'm off for a peep now. Does it cost anything to join and if your school is there does that mean there is definitely people from that school registered?
ALison
- By dizzy [gb] Date 25.07.03 21:40 UTC
its a fiver to join, it shows you the list of folk registered from your school before you pay, and you cant mail them until they have the fiver,
- By lel [gb] Date 25.07.03 21:40 UTC
You can also locate friends from work if they have registered.
Its free to view but I think you pay £5 ( is that right) for people to contact you .

- By bob [gb] Date 25.07.03 21:52 UTC

- By dizzy [gb] Date 25.07.03 22:49 UTC

- By bob [gb] Date 25.07.03 23:00 UTC

That site is great thanks for posting this post, otherwise I'd never have known about friends re-united.
