Can someone please tell me something about the above condition. My 19 month old chocolate labrador has this condition. He has been operated on and at the moment we are trying to keep him quiet (not easy). The specialist has said there is only a 50% chance of him recovering from this. He is not on any medication and the vet has said everything is looking fine at the moment.

Will he be able to run and play and go for the long walks he loves ever again?

Hi, I'm guessing the specialist has removed the loose piece of bone? If so, my book implies that he should make a full recovery. I hope that's true for you.
:)
