Hi
My partner and I would like a Dogue de Bordeaux puppy. However, we do not have a lot of money to purchase one from a breeder. We do have loads of love, energy and enthusiasm and a really good home though.

Is there a rescue society in Britain (we live in Cardiff, South Wales) or do breeders ever need to find good homes for puppies/dogs who did not sell with the rest of the litters?

We are willing to travel to find a dog.

I hope somebody can help us.

my email address is lcsalway@hotmail.com
telephone 07974 660991 or 02920 482976
Thank you

There is no recognised Rescue Society as such, but you may be interested to know that The D de B is the 'featured' breed in DogWorld this week (June 15th).

Contact the Breed Club.

It should be pointed out, that like many giant breeds, their up keep in terms of food and vets is much more expensive than most other breeds. I speak from experience of 6 giants & 2 border terriers, so I know the differences involved!!!!
If you cannot afford the money to purchase a pup, it would surely be rather difficult to afford to keep one once you have aqquired it by other means. Don't mean to sound miserable, but surely you should think about a more "economical to run" breed?
