Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Dobermann Whiskers?
- By guest [gb] Date 23.07.03 07:19 UTC
A book all about Dobermanns (American), states in the grooming section that whiskers should be trimmed away! - This seems very peculiar to me, is this form of grooming correct in the UK? I cannot understand why the whiskers of a dog (whatever the breed) would be trimmed away.

Your comments on this and advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Most people trim the whiskers for showing and the cheek, under chin and eye brows. I don't mind doing the others but would never remove the eyebrows. Americans do tend to trim moe than we do in the UK as they will trim any hair deemed to be excess.
