If bred by a responsible person who breeds from dogs that have had all their health checks done and are of good temperament then they should make as good a pets as any german shepherd.Do not pay over the odds for them-they're not rare. They should still be kc registered since the parents must be KC reg to be hip-scored.They are not allowed to be shown since the colour white is a big no no on the breed standard.
There is a White GSD club I beleive but don,t know the addy,sorry-do a search.

Hi guest.
I have a 5 and half month pld long haired white german shepherd.
Their temperaments are exactly the same as normal shepherd dogs, dont believe all the twoddle about them being more aggressive.
They are very clever dogs and i am very proud of mine:) love him to bits.
They are allowed to been shown, but only in certain catagories.
I can give you the name of the breeder i got mine from if you want to get in contact with her.
E-mail me if you are interested.

Provided they are registered with the Kennel Club, they can be shown at any show you like with the exception for Crufts, you have to qualify for that. But as white/cream is not to the standard the dog would have to be a near perfect specimen to even get a place, because the colour fault would be so overwelming and obvious.
