My friends has an american pitball (the color best described a brown almost like a chocolate lab) on his face and the rest of his body same color but brindle. He is 5 months old and weighs 7 pounds. He looks alot like her other American Pitbull (who is more black) but the only thing is that he is the size of a chiuawawau (sp). Looks like a 2 month old pup. Very tiny lil pit. The vet thinks he is a freak of nature. She got him from a breeder she knows (the smallest dog he has is a french bulldog). How possible is this to happen for him to be so tiny? He gave him to her because he knows how she babies her dogs and because of his size, now she just told me that she is getting her sister because the people that had her were not very good with her so he took her back, he wasn't impressed on how they looked after her, guess he does follow ups which is good.

hello dollface,
i cant imagine this little dog being a pitbull, sorry to sugest but i think theres a good chance that she could have been conned, i have never heard of any "bull" breed wiegh 7 pounds at 5 months of age, i would think that not even whats called a "litter runt" would only wiegh that much.
nearly every bulldog i have had as a puppy at 5 months wieghs over 14 pounds in wieght, i am no expert are you certain it is a pitbull pup??

I have seen a bullmastiff the size of a staffie , In fact it was at a show the breeder of one of my dogs judged here .He had never seen the like of it
.Like this little pitbull he was exactly like a bullmastiff that had been shrunk .
He was adorable as well. The others were full size .

Maybe not - 14kg are 2.2X as much as 14 lbs! :-)

Dwarfism in APBT occurs every now and then. I had a GSD x BC here who was the size of a Dachshound fully grown.

That would be about 30lbs!
