Topic Dog Boards / Health / Swimming Pools in North West?

Does anyone know of any dog swimming pools in the North west, preferably in or near to Manchester? I can't seem to find any in Manchester!

Thanks!

There is one near Preston if that is close enough? If it is, let me know and I'll dig out details.

That's not the one I was thinking of. Is that just a treadmill in a tank type thing? The one that is the other side of Preston (it is just off the motorway which goes to Manchester - name escapes me), is an actual swimming pool. Depends what you want the pool for really.

I used to take two of my dogs to the pool you are thinking of. Great place.

Hi,
I have used one in Preston several times and I live in Manchester. It took me about 40 mins to drive there and it was well worth it. It is a proper swimming pool and the dogs are dried off afterwards..
The lady who owns it, owns Labradors I think, her name is Anne and her affix is Teasledown, I am sure.......
Can't remember any more details, but hope that helps,
Gabrielle

Thanks for all the replies! It's for winter I'm looking so I'll start checking these ones out now. At the moment she goes swimming in the local park but because it helps her legs so much, I need something for when it gets too cold! Thanks again.
